Tufted Transformation

Tufting is a the industry term used to describe the lovely buttoned folds on the seat backs and sometimes cushions of upholstered furniture pieces. Tufting can be tricky when reupholstering, but if done well can make a lovely result. This piece brought in by a client had some beautiful tufting and a great feminine silhouette, but a very dated and tattered upholstery. Working with our client, we knew we wanted to to let the wonderful details do all the talking, so we stuck with a textured solid in a stunning sea foam green. The result was exactly what we were hoping for!

And of course, to add a bit more interest, we added a print pillow we made from scratch!
