One of the most joyful elements at Mignonne is collaborating on a design project with return clients. These lovely customers came to us with this beautiful, mid-century-modern chair set in a lack-luster pale blue tweed-like fabric and wished to transform them with this profound, deep emerald leather. Our team was thrilled to be working alongside these folks again and up for the upholstery challenge!
These before photos convey the original style and fabric used, prefacing their revival! The common weave and texture of fabric with kindred piping and subdued tufting makes the frames stand without much emphasis. We were able to effectively collaborate and jive with these clients to choose a fabric that not only stands apart on its own but jumps off of the frames to create a bold statement.
The half-moon curvature of these frames allowed for some special seaming and piping with this lovely leather.
We're so pleased with the outcome and love how sleek and sophisticated they look!
